OK so I bought a DecalSkin online and it came with a download URL to get a matching wallpaper http://wallpaper.decalskin.com/device/Motorola/MDR_Droid/
(the site doesn't appear to be password protected so anyone can download wallpapers from there)
This is the specific one I am trying to install http://wallpaper.decalskin.com/device/Motorola/MDR_Droid/MDR-AT16.jpg

So I download it from the browser on my phone, it saves to SD card, then I go change wallpaper > gallery > download folder, it shows the full screen version but then it has a little window I can re-size/crop.. and it won't let me select the full image, if I try to re-size it, the largest it lets me choose is half of the image. then it zooms in on that half and the quality is blurry..

I even tried to use the OI File manager app, and browse to the .jpg and "long press" on the file to open and try to set wallpaper from there too but it still gives me the came "crop" window

Is there anyway around this to choose the full image?

Thanks

try using PHOTOSHOP MOBILE app. With that, resize the image according to screen size. Ie, 840-320. I think that's that resolution size.

Great find Justin090435.  Here is a little more information:  Photoshop.com Mobile (Free) - Edit and transform photos easily. Touch to crop, rotate, blur, add photo effects. Upload and share your photos with a free Photoshop.com account. From Adobe, the makers of Photoshop. By downloading you agree to the Terms of Use at www.photoshop.com/misc/terms.html. Developers, see mobile.photoshop.com/android/developers.

Yep, can not use regular sized wallpapers on droid x without it being distorted.  You need to resize the image as justin said.
